Singer & Guitarist performing songs from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s with a humorous tale or two.
Swifty has been entertaining for 40 years in the UK and across Europe. Recently emigrated to Australia and is ready to unleash his repertoire of oldies but goodies on the unsuspecting good people of Queensland.
Swifty first started out as a drummer playing in pop/rock, R&B, and country bands touring the UK and Europe. He has also recorded with various country artists. A memorbale tour was with American country singer ‘Dave Dudley’.
Swifty then picked up a guitar and began gigging around UK and Europe spending several months of the year in Copenhagen and other parts of Scandinavia. During this time Swifty also worked as a tour manager for a long standing friend, ‘Jethro’ the Cornish comedian, touring UK theatres and even a private party for HRH Prince Charles, now HM King Charles.
The show…
Swifty puts on a great show every time. Although he is a solo act he uses ‘Dave the Japanese drum machine’ to give that real upbeat, danceable element to compliment a voice and his guitar. This, coupled with his humor and random interludes, engaging with the audience makes for an all-round good old ‘knees up’
